Process Mineralogy

Overview

Learn process mineralogy tools and techniques to make practical use of mineralogical data.

Metallurgists, mining engineers and operators will gain a solid foundation to get the most out of mineralogical data for diagnostics, troubleshooting and optimising mineral processing operations.

Using case studies and real data, you’ll learn strategies from Australia’s best instructors to select the most appropriate characterisation tools and assess the quality of mineralogical data.

Entry requirements

No prior knowledge of mineralogy is required.

What you'll learn

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot plant performance using mineralogical data.
  • Request appropriate mineralogical analysis for samples to obtain the most cost-effective and timely solution.
  • Engage with the data from mineralogical characterisation.

Time commitment

This is an online course that will require roughly 18 hours to complete.

  • 2-3 hours per week
  • Over 6 weeks from 26 April to 7 July 2023.

Course curriculum

Assessment

There is no assessment. However, participants are required to complete at least 75% of the course content to receive a Certificate of Completion.

Certification and accreditation

Students who successfully complete the course will receive a Certificate of Completion to verify their skills and achievements.
