This two-day workshop Webinar will focus on the crucial role of flotation reagents in mineral resource recovery.  This course will combine an accessible overview of theory, and place it in context with plant practice, delivered through presentations and worked examples from real world flotation operations.  
The course will cover topics such as:

  • Nature of surfaces in flotation and how they can be manipulated 
  • Guidance to identifying and understanding key components of mineral systems
  • Basic building blocks of flotation reagents and how they work
  • Common approaches to surface manipulation using chemistry
  • Selecting the most appropriate reagent suite for your plant
  • Talking to reagent suppliers and asking the right questions

The Sustainable Minerals Institute's Production Centres (JKMRC and BRC) team, offers a range of professional development options to build industry capacity. 

These courses are being offered to address key and ongoing development needs identified through our collaborative research.  In addition to these open courses, we are always amenable to the development of tailor-made in-house courses for our industry partners.

These short courses are designed  to give attendees the opportunity to undertake professional development in a modular and intensive format which fits more easily with the demands of a modern industry professional.  They also provide an opportunity for interaction with like-minded practitioners from other organisations.
