The G3 Managers Education program is a four day professional development course that develops managers' understanding, appreciation and application of risk management policy and procedures.

G3 is aimed at:

  • Mine, project or section managers, superintendents, mine captains, plant supervisors, senior technical staff, safety managers and practitioners
  • Division or coporate technical and functional staff


In Queensland, Australia, G-MIRM (Global Minerals Industry Risk Management) G3 Managers Education Program is mapped against the industry competency RIIRIS601D1: Establish and Maintain the Risk Management System, as identified by the Mining Safety and Health Advisory Committee and the Coal Mining Safety and Health Advisory Committee.

About Health, Safety and Risk Professional Development

All courses have been designed and developed by the Minerals Industry Safety and Health Centre (MISHC) at UQ’s Sustainable Minerals Institute. The team offer high quality training program for all levels of staff in the resources sector and ensure they have the knowledge and skills to better identify hazards and make effective decisions about risk. Experienced practitioners within MISHC facilitate all the workshops.
