Hyosang Lee is an Associate Professor of the School of Civil Engineering, ChungBuk National University (Korea). He has been working in the water engineering section as an academic staff since 2007. Prior to joining CBNU, He worked as a civil engineer in HHI construction company (Korea) from 1997 to 2000 and a Marie-Curie researcher in UFZ-Helmholtz Centre (Germany) from 2006 to 2007. He has BEng in civil engineering from University of Seoul (Korea) and MSc in hydrology and environmental engineering and PhD in hydrology from Imperial College London (UK).

Hyosang’s research focuses on the catchment of rainfall-runoff modelling, flood estimation method at gauged and ungauged catchments, and hydrological experiments in catchment. Hyosang’s recent research projects are; Enhancement of hydrological measurement and quality control in the Yongdam IHP study catchment (UNESCO-International Hydrology Program, 2016-2018), Development of a flood estimation method using conceptual rainfall runoff model (Advanced Research Centre for River Operation and Management, 2014-2017), Air bubble barrier technology for preventing harmful substance accessing to power plant intake (Industrial Technology Innovation Business, 2015-2018).
