Researcher biography
Elizabeth Bradshaw is a Senior Industry Fellow at the CSRM. Elizabeth is a highly experienced cultural heritage and social performance manager with deep expertise in risk, assurance and integrated social performance management systems. Elizabeth is the Director and Principal of a consultancy, Elizabeth Bradshaw Consulting, specialising in social performance and cultural heritage management advice and assurance.
Elizabeth’s career spans over 30 years worldwide experience in the extractives and cultural heritage sectors. From 1996 to 2018 Elizabeth worked for Rio Tinto, in operational and senior corporate roles. Prior to that she held roles undertaking archaeological and cultural heritage management work with local and Indigenous communities and government.
Elizabeth is a global thought leader who has pioneered leading practices in community engaged cultural heritage management and integrated social performance business systems, at a regional and global level. She project-managed and co-authored with CSRM the widely used Rio Tinto Why Cultural Heritage Matters resources guide (also available in French, Spanish, Portuguese, Mongolian and Burmese).
Elizabeth is an Advisory Board member for the Centre for Rock Art Research and Management, at the University of Western Australia; and an Expert Member of the ICOMOS International Scientific Committee for Archaeological Heritage Management.
