Maite is a Research Assistant at the Centre for Social Responsibility in Mining (CSRM) where she assists with social applied research in topics related to community development, engagement, and participation within the mining and extractive industries. She also participates as a bilingual tutor in the development of CSRM’s online professional development focusing on the involvement of the community in processes of planning.

Maite holds a Master of Development Practice from the University of Queensland and has an undergraduate degree in Anthropology from the Universidad de Chile.

Maite has 5 years of experience in social applied research in the university and private sectors. She has focused her carer mainly on strategic consulting, participation, and community relations in the mining sector in Chile. She can facilitate and conduct collaborative workshops between communities, government agencies and businesses to promote dialogue and partnerships.
