The Sustainable Minerals Institute has expanded its research capacity with the launch of a new Flotation Chemistry Research Group.
The University of Queensland will play a crucial role in a multi-million-dollar four-year project which will see universities and industry working together to build commercialisation in Australia’s critical mineral supply chain that will create 1300 jobs.

Izok Lake and High Lake in north-west Canada on the border of Nunavut and Northwest Territories, are remote, beautiful – and contain two exceptionally high–grade mineral deposits.
Building international connections, sharing knowledge and informing mine closure governance were the key outcomes from an Indigenous Exchange Forum that brought together 40 First Nations representatives and affiliated researchers from Australia, Canada and Aotearoa (NZ) who have major mines on their lands.
