Partnerships and collaboration

Collaboration is at the heart of SMI’s activities, and the Institute currently has partnership agreements with over 100 organisations. SMI works with industry, governments, civil society, local communities, Indigenous Peoples, and inter-governmental organisations through research, consulting, education and capacity-building activities.

The partnerships featured below are examples of SMI's collaborative and multi-party initiatives. In addition, we work with a wide range of industry, government, research and philanthropic partners around the world. Many of these partnerships are long-term and draw on expertise from across SMI, with partners often engaging with multiple centres and disciplines over time.
