
Dr Yevgeniya Smith (Yevi) has recently joined the Centre for Environmental Responsibility in Mining in the Sustainable Minerals Institute as an Advanced Laboratory Coordinator for the Environment Labs. With a background in food chemistry studied in Germany and a PhD from the Australian Wine Research Institute, her work has focused on flavour chemistry, environmental contaminants, and high-resolution mass spectrometry. Prior to moving to Brisbane, she was part of the Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics Group at the University of South Australia. Drawing from her broad interdisciplinary experience, Yevi is dedicated to supporting researchers, maintaining seamless lab operations, and fostering excellence in collaborative science.
