Pieter Swart

Pieter Swart is the QLD Environment and Community Manager for Glencore Coal Assets Australia.  He provides strategic oversight of environmental performance and governance, rehabilitation and closure planning of Glencore's QLD coal assets.  He also represents the business in collaboration and development of relevant regulatory policy and industry standards, including research through various universities and ACARP.

Pieter holds qualifications in Mineral Resource Management (University of Johannesburg, South Africa), Environmental Management (Tshwane University of Technology, South Africa) and Business Management (University of Western Australia).

Industry

Multi-disciplinary and multi-commodity experience in the mining industry since 1992, covering jurisdictions of South Africa, Western Australia and Queensland including the full life-cycle from project approvals through operations to mine closure.
