2023 SMI 3MT Competition
An 80,000 word thesis. Your time limit? Just three minutes.
PhD students from the Sustainable Minerals Institute (SMI) will compete in the SMI Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition.
Come along to watch dynamic three minute presentations on a diverse range of research topics . All academic and professional staff, students (undergraduate, postgraduate and research) and alumni are welcome to attend.
The winner will go on to compete in the Combined Institute 3MT®, and may progress to the UQ 3MT® Final hosted by the UQ Graduate School on Wednesday 6 September and a chance to win a $5,000 grant and a place in the Virtual Asia-Pacific and U21 competitions.
