New Methods of Flotation Process Intensification and Monitoring
Speaker: Dr Liguang Wang, Senior Lecturer, School of Chemical Engineering, The University of Queensland
Abstract: We have explored novel approaches (e.g. acoustic sound) to improve flotation recovery and product grade and have developed advanced tools (e.g. mass pull sensor) for real-time monitoring of flotation efficiency. Some of these innovations have achieved successful industrial demonstrations.
Bio: Liguang Wang is a senior lecturer in School of Chemical Engineering at The University of Queensland in Australia. He obtained his PhD in Mining and Minerals Engineering from Virginia Tech and BE and ME in Minerals Engineering from Central South University. Liguang's research has resulted in several international patent disclosures and over 90 refereed publications on flotation, dewatering and particle technology. He was honoured with the Research and Industry Excellence Award of the Australian Coal Industry’s Research Program (ACARP).
About JKMRC Friday Seminars 2023
Welcome to the 2023 Series of the JKMRC Friday Seminars. The list of presentations will aim to cover a range of topics related to the minerals sector from decision making in exploration, new mineral processing technologies, social licence to operate and mine closure.
The JKMRC Friday Seminars will be presented often in person, at the Indooroopilly Mine Site Lecture Theatre, and also as webinar. Registration for the webinar is required and can be made via the registration link in each seminar overview.
