About Life of Mine Conference 2023
AusIMM in collaboration with The University of Queensland’s Sustainable Minerals Institute’s (SMI) Centre for Water in the Minerals Industry (CWiMI) are pleased to hold Life of Mine Conference 2023.
CWiMI Director Associate Professor Claire Côte is Chair of the Life of Mine 2023 organising committee. Associate Professor Claire Côte along with many other researchers from The University of Queensland (UQ) and SMI, will be participating in the conference and pre-conference workshops.

Climate Change and Mining
The Life of Mine Conference program will showcase examples and case studies of applying interdisciplinary approaches that enhance outcomes, increase efficiencies and improve effectiveness to address current and future challenges facing the industry. These challenges include increasing cost and production pressures, ever-demanding technical factors, and increasing societal and community expectations.
