Abstract: Water is a reagent in itself, it adds complexity to your process and should be given due consideration, particularly in processes which are reliant on water reuse and recycling.

Bio: Kirsten Corin is an Associate Professor and Head of Flotation Chemistry with the Centre for Minerals Research (CMR) in the Department of Chemical Engineering and the University of Cape Town (UCT) where she manages the Reagent Research Group (RRG). Her research is focussed on the chemistry of flotation, with three important areas of interest: water quality within flotation, chemistry of grinding and flotation and electrochemistry of minerals.
