Speaker: Dr Chris Anderson, Senior Metallurgist, Glencore Technology

Abstract: This talk will challenge the conventional wisdom of flotation circuit design by show casing the latest Jameson Cell results in rougher and scavenger applications. The ability to scalp material at final concentrate grade in the rougher, as well as produce low tailings grades in the scavenger, unlocks the potential for a compact, full circuit design using Jameson Cell and IsaMill technology. Various case studies and applications will be discussed, as well as current and future R&D initiatives.

Bio: Chris is a process engineer with over 15 years’ experience in the design and commissioning of minerals processing plants. He is a registered professional engineer with ECSA and holds a PhD in the area of flotation. He has fulfilled various roles within the EPCM environment, including lead process engineer, study manager and commissioning manager, and has been involved in the full life cycle projects from concept to commissioning across a range of commodities. He is currently appointed as a Senior Metallurgist for Glencore Technology where he focuses on development of the Jameson Concentrator for application to base metal and PGM projects.
