Andres Recalde - Social license to operate – Myth or reality?
Speaker: Andres Recalde, Mining Common Good
Abstract: Social license to operate was incepted as a semantic construction in the 90's. But over the decades after, it became a subtle subject in the performance of any mining or exploration project. This seminar will describe the evolution of this concept, with its advantages and limitations for any mining project decision maker. The goal of the seminar will be to show its relevance and how it could be managed in a useful and cost conscious way.
