About UQ Research-Industry Collaboration Masterclass and SMI ECA Town Hall

Join us for a day of professional development, collaboration and community engagement at SMI.

The UQ Research-Industry Collaboration Masterclass will equip researchers with practical strategies for building successful industry partnerships and delivering impactful collaborative projects. Drawing on lessons from the Trailblazer Program, this interactive working session will provide actionable tools and insights that participants can apply directly to their own research projects.
The program features RTCM Trailblazer Industry Advisor Leigh Staines, special guest and co-presenter SMI Director Professor Rick Valenta, and an Industry-Academic Panel Discussion offering perspectives from both researchers and industry partners.

Following the Masterclass, the inaugural SMI Early Career Academic (ECA) Town Hall will hear reflections from mid-career researchers, learn about current ECA initiatives, and contribute to discussions that will help shape future priorities and opportunities for the SMI early career academic community.
Primarily intended for Level A and B academic and research staff, this session is open to all SMI members interested in supporting and engaging with the SMI ECA community.

Please RSVP for planning and catering purposes.
