It’s that time of year again to remind everyone about the 2019 Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition.
The competition cultivates students’ academic, presentation, and research communication skills. Presenting in a 3MT competition increases capacity to effectively explain research in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.
Here at SMI we encourage all HDR students to participate in the SMI 3MT competition.
The University of Queensland competition begins with school and institute heats, with the winner progressing to one of the seven faculty/institute finals. The winner of each faculty/institute final then progresses to the final. The people's choice winner from each faculty/institute final has the opportunity to participate in the Wildcard competition of which the winner is offered a place in the final as the Wildcard entrant.
