The UQ Mining and Resources Forum is an annual event hosted by the Sustainable Minerals Insitute and the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology, and it has been very effective in building research collaborations across UQ.

It provides a plaform for researchers to present their current projects in a five minute presentation and to network with academics and professionals working in the sector.
In 2019 the event will be part of UQ's Minerals Week which brings together researchers, students and industry in meaningful conversations about how we resource for the future in a sustainable way.

About UQ Minerals Week 22- 26 July

The products of mining are everywhere. If it wasn’t grown, it was mined or drilled, but mining has an uneasy history with sustainable development. As demand for minerals and the secure supply of resources worldwide continues to increase, UQ Minerals Week is an opportunity for academics, students and industry to share ideas and research, build networks, and take the conversation forward on how we responsibly resource for the future.
