The Sustainable Minerals Institute's Minerals Industry Safety and Health Centre invites you to attend the Dust and Respiratory Health Forum

This 3 hour event will feature the advancements and latest trends in the management of dust and mine dust lung diseases in the mining industry. Speakers will include staff from Resources Safety and Health Queensland (RSHQ), The University of Illinois Chicago respiratory health team (UIC), Nikky LaBranche (UQ-MISHC), David Waite (UNSW) and Katrina Newbigin (Wesley I-Med).

Speakers and presentations

The forum will be held in a hybrid format, both in person and online via Zoom.  The in person venue will be the GHD Auditorium in the Advanced Engineering Building at The University of Queensland's St Lucia Campus. With COVID restrictions there are a limited number of people allowed at the venue, so register early to secure a spot. 

Parking: Limited casual parking is available at a rate of $5 per day – a link to the parking zones can be found at https://campuses.uq.edu.au/files/2814/01-st-lucia-car-parking-zones.pdf. The top level of the Conifer Knoll Carpark is recommended as that is the closest casual parking to the venue.
