CWiMI provides opportunities for students wanting to enrol in an Honours, Masters or PhD program. The research topics available address current industry questions across multiple fields and, under the guidance of our academic researchers, students are able to make significant contributions to sustainability in mining specialising in water in resource extraction.

Though the National Centre for Groundwater Research and Training (NCGRT) program, we have three exciting opportunities to undertake PhD projects:

-        Towards an interdisciplinary framework for groundwater pumping estimation

-        Influence of water-related conditions on mining development in complex orebodies: analysis from local to global scale;

-        Using high resolution satellite imagery to constrain models of surface-groundwater interactions over catchment scales
