Lexi K'ng is a geoscientist specialising in the sampling and characterisation of mine waste deposits.

Lexi graduated with a BSc in Geology and Geography from the University of Tasmania (2018). After completing her BSc, she completed her BSc (Hons) in Environmental Geochemistry, with a focus on characterising geochemical and physical properties of tailings, Rosebery Tasmania (2019). This research project was part of the Transforming the Mining Value Chain (TMVC). 
 
Professionally, Lexi worked at an environmental consultancy as a geoscientist on a range of industry and government projects from exploration through to rehabilitation and closure (2020-2022) and as senior research assistan with the MIWATCH group. She commenced her PhD in 2025.
