Bora graduated with a Bachelor of Environmental Science (Hons), majoring in Ecology and Conservation at The University of Queensland. During her undergraduate studies, she researched a species-specific project on the yellow-throated marten’s ecology, habitat associations and disturbance tolerance at the Ecological Cascades Lab at UQ.
In 2021, Bora started her Honours project researching the spatial coincidence between Tailings Storage Facilities and Biodiversity Areas. After graduating, Bora joined the Development Minerals team at SMI as a Research Assistant and is providing assistance with the Stone for Development Work Integrated Learning program. Before undertaking the next step in her career as an environmental scientist, Bora is exploring her interest in sand mining and its impacts on biodiversity.
