Daniel is a PhD student at the UQ Business School where his doctoral research investigates legitimacy processes around critical minerals, with a particular focus on responsible sourcing of cobalt. His interest is in how minerals are ‘made’ legitimate, and how this plays out and changes over time. He is supervised by professors Nicole Gillespie and Daniel Franks.
Daniel combines his research and academic pursuits with work in social performance for the extractive and infrastructure industries, and has delivered social impact assessments and similar studies for large scale mines, oil, gas, water and transport projects.
Daniel holds a Masters degree in Political Science from Uppsala University in Sweden.
