- Project planning, investigation data interpretation, evaluation of management options and design, recommendation and implementation of remediation measures as appropriate.
- General Field Research and Laboratory support to research staff and students in the line with Soil science, Vegetation monitoring, Land rehabilitation and Laboratory analysis.
- Field and Laboratory measurements of various research projects throughout Australia in the Mining and Land rehabilitation area.

Vinod Nath moved to Australia in 2002 from Fiji. Working in the Science and Research area he proceeded to upscale qualification and experience by joining Sustainable Mineral Institute as a post graduate student and later as a staff. He has been with the University, now for over ten years working on various research projects in collaboration with students, staff and industries. He has experience in industry research in soil and land management practices for degraded and disturbed lands including post-mining environments, vegetation monitoring and various ecological and environmental research projects associated with mine site rehabilitation in Australia.
