Julita Greda-Tomaszewska

As Principal Lessons and Learning Facilitator at the Minerals Industry Safety and Health Centre (MISHC), Julita Greda‑Tomaszewska provides strategic input to the professional development portfolio in health, safety, and risk management, overseeing portfolio planning, governance, and delivery of short courses and masterclasses aligned to industry and regulatory priorities.
With a background in sociology and career development, Julita brings a strong systems, capability‑building, and people‑centred approach to learning design and workforce development. Her experience at UQ includes health and safety governance and assurance activities, internal co‑auditing, systems management, KPI and performance reporting, and institution‑wide wellbeing initiatives. She has also served as a Wellness Ambassador, Mental Health First Aider, and Program Lead for the UQPN mentoring initiative, contributing to a resilient, psychologically safe workplace culture.
Prior to joining UQ, Julita worked as a Careers Counsellor in the private education sector in London, supporting individuals to navigate complex career transitions and build sustainable professional pathways.
In addition to her role at MISHC, Julita is a Strategy Engagement and Development Manager with the UQ Professionals Network (UQPN), where she shapes strategic engagement priorities, advises on learning frameworks, and contributes to UQPN professional development initiatives that support the capability of UQ professional staff.
