Melissa Glendenning

Melissa Glendenning commenced at SMI in January 2016. Melissa is responsible for the strategic management of all Institute operations including finance and human resource management, information technology systems and support, facilities and workplace health and safety, research portfolio support, marketing and communications, and intellectual property management. Melissa’s previous role was Operations Manager at the Queensland Alliance for Agriculture and Food Innovation, from 2010 to 2016 where she established all operational functions of UQ’s newest research institute. Melissa was awarded UQ’s Chancellor’s Award for Individual Excellence in 2013. Melissa has a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, (U Syd) and a Graduate Certificate in Executive Leadership (UQ).
