Biofilm composition and function in alkaline red mud

The composition and function of biofilm in red mud were studied by adding sugar and phosphorus. Using confocal microscopy to investigate how phosphorus is integrated into cells.

Biography

Yuanying graduated from South China Agricultural University in 2019 with a Major in Forestry. Yuanying has undertaken  experiments in biology, such as Genetic diversity analysis of toons sinensis based on DNA SSR molecular markers and Repairing function analysis of five kinds plants for heavy metals in soil. She received a Scholarship from South China Agricultural University and  was recognised as being an excellent student leader. Yuanying came to Australia in November 2019 and started her MPhil study at CMLR in the Sustainable Minerals Institute at The University of Queensland in April 2020.
