Peter Newman

Peter Newman is the Queensland Chief Inspector of Coal Mines. He is a mining professional with 40 years of experience in operations, technical, Zero Harm, compliance and leadership roles. He has had 22 years in owner operator and 18 years in contractor mining services companies in both coal and metalliferous businesses, prior to joining the Queensland Resources Safety and Health Unit of DNRME.
