Relationships between Large Scale Mining and Artisanal Scale Mining

Aim

The project will engage in research that examines the relationship between large scale mining (LSM) and artisanal small scale mining (ASM) by drawing on research from the fields of human geography, sociology, economics and/or geology. The project will contribute to the development of models and approaches aimed at improving the interface between LSM and ASM in the context of understanding and studying complex ore bodies.
