AEMEE 2017 Conference

The results of Aboriginal Enterprises in Mining, Energy, and Exploration (AEMEE) report on Indigenous business procurement in the extractives sector was presented at the AEMEE’s annual conference of in Cairns on 11 October 2017. ‘Survival Revival Success – making the most of the upturn in the mining sector’ was a fitting conference theme for presentation by Christine Charles, Adjunct Professor, SMI board member and MD of D4G, of AEMEE’s Indigenous Business Procurement Evaluation Checklist. Prepared by CSRM for AEMEE, the 2015 report and resulting checklist assists extractive companies and major contractors configure their business for maximum success in procurement of Indigenous businesses.
