The long and winding road from research to commercialisation
Speaker: Dr Andrew Job, Founder and CEO, Plotlogic
Abstract: Plotlogic currently deploys hyperspectral ore scanning systems in many areas of the mining operation including during grade control, at the ore face, stockpiles and over conveyors. The valuable data that Plotlogic collects, and processes empowers better decision making in many aspects of a mining operation. The journey started at UQ with an ambitious idea and is now a successful company of ~50 people, has raised over $30 million in funding and counts three of the four biggest miners as clients. The journey hasn’t always been a smooth one, but I am excited to share the lessons learnt.
