Speaker: Dr Eric Wasmund

Abstract: This seminar will explore the role of technology development which is a key driver in addressing the challenges of industry and society. The University of Queensland is well positioned as an institution to bridge the gap between theory and practice.

Bio: Dr Eric Wasmund holds a BSc Eng in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University and a PhD in Process Metallurgy from McMaster University, and is a licensed Professional Engineer. He has worked in a variety of roles in research, engineering, marketing and projects for Inco (now Vale) and has led the global flotation business at Eriez for the last 13 years.

Welcome to the 2025 Series of the JKMRC Friday Seminars.  The list of presentations will aim to cover a range of topics related to the minerals sector from decision making in exploration, new mineral processing technologies, social licence to operate and mine closure.
