A Tribute to Mr Martin Harris
On Friday, 19 June 2026, JKMRC will dedicate its Friday Seminar to celebrating the life, legacy, and contributions of Mr Martin Harris, a
distinguished researcher, mentor, colleague, and friend whose impact on the global minerals processing community continues to shape our discipline.
Martin's pioneering work in flotation science, particularly through the AMIRA P9 Flotation Project, influenced generations of researchers and practitioners. Beyond his scientific achievements, he was widely respected for his intellectual curiosity, insightful questioning, generosity in sharing knowledge, and unwavering commitment to advancing understanding in mineral processing.
This seminar will bring together colleagues, collaborators, former students, and friends to reflect on Martin's technical contributions, his role as a supervisor and mentor, his involvement in major industry research initiatives, and the lasting influence he had on those who worked alongside him. Through technical reflections, personal stories, photographs, and messages from around the world, we will honour a remarkable scientist and an unforgettable member of our community.
