Daniel is the Technical Manager for Glencore Copper’s processing assets in NW QLD.  His team of metallurgists support the Group’s concentrators, smelter and refinery and are also responsible for the company’s strategic planning and major projects.  Dan’s expertise is in copper concentrators, feasibility studies, toll milling & smelting, and future ores development.  Dan is passionate about solving processing issues using sound a sound technical approach and considering the aspects of human behaviour when designing solutions.

Utilisation of a processing asset extends beyond the number of hours it runs for.  When mines start to approach the end of their life, significant redundant capacity opens up in the mines processing assets.  Is this capacity really redundant or can we re-think our approach to keep them delivering value at the design rate?
