The Halion Loop™: Copper Made Green
Speaker: Mr Dave Sammut
Abstract: For the last 40+ years, halide hydrometallurgy has offered the prospect of cheaper, cleaner production of copper: from mineral concentrate to metal at the mine site. For the first time, the Halion Loop™ makes this practical. Loop Hydrometallurgy has made a breakthrough that has the potential to redefine the industry cost curve for the production of copper from mineral concentrates and industrial wastes.
Bio: Dave Sammut has degrees in both science and business and has worked for 30 years in active industrial R&D, commercialisation and entrepreneurship, and in professional communications to government and investor audiences. He is recognised as a global expert in chloride hydrometallurgy, with over 60 published papers and articles, and is the inventor of the breakthrough Halion™ technology for the clean production of copper and other metals.
