Speaker: Felice Quach

Abstract: Precision extraction in mining is hamstrung by the lack of technologies that enable access to chemistry and mineral results in the 0-4 hour timeframe. New advancements in mine imaging scanners can unlock precision mining workflows currently unachievable using legacy methods. Step changes in speed and sample spacing density also provide a rich landscape of opportunities for further advancements in the fields of geology, geometallurgy, geotechnical, mine and process engineering.

Bio: Felice is a qualified mining engineering manager with 10+ years industry experience in frontline supervision and production engineering of large, complex mining facilities. He currently heads the product and technical mining division of Plotlogic and has been involved in the company’s journey from R&D through to deploying commercial ready products. Plotlogic’s flagship OreSense® technology, a mining imaging scanner that can deliver chemical and mineral measurements in <15 minutes is actively in use at both open cut and underground mines.
