Shally is a Ph.D. student at CWiMi, as part of the University of Queensland-IIT Delhi Academy of Research (UQIDAR). She completed M.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur and B.Tech. from Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur in Chemical Enginnering. Shally's master's work was focused on the synthesis of metal-doped carbon-based nanomaterials for fuel cell and heavy metal removal applications. She has published around 5 international journal papers, 2 international patents and has attended several national and international conferences. Shally's PhD. research is focused on recycling of end-of-life Lithium-ion batteries.

Industry

Before starting her Ph.D., Shally worked for four years at Tata Research Development and Design Center (TRDDC), Pune as a researcher. Her work at TRDDC was related to the development of functional coatings and metals recovery from hard disk magnets.
