The main aim of this project is to develop a better understanding of the means to predict the location of reactive ground in the Mount Isa Copper Orebodies.  The vision of the project is that consideration of all relevant geoscientific data in combination may allow development of a reactive ground prediction methodology that can be mapped to the existing block model data based on existing datasets or practical new tests.

The project will involve collaboration with researchers from SMI – CMLR and JKMRC, and close interaction with Mine Geology, Engineering, and Geotechnical personnel at Glencore-Mt Isa Copper Operations.
