Dr Vladimir Jokovic appointed as SMI-JKMRC Senior Research Fellow

The Sustainable Minerals Institute is pleased to announce that Dr Vladimir Jokovic has recently been successful in obtaining the position of Senior Research Fellow - Minerals Processing at the JKMRC.

The role will address research in the area of mineral processing with a focus on ore sorting and related technologies. Vladimir holds a diploma in Electrical Engineering and a master’s in Electro Technical Sciences from University of Belgrade, as well as a PhD in Minerals process engineering from The University of Queensland.

Over more than 10 years in research Vladimir has developed expertise in applying novel approaches to classification and innovative mineral processing solutions on topics including ore sorting, selective breakage and microwave technology. Vladimir is a passionate researcher that seeks to make a difference, and his key aim is to provide solutions for a step change in the energy and production signatures of process plants for the global minerals industry.

SMI congratulates Vlad on being selected from a competitive recruitment process for the position, which had a strong group of highly credentialed domestic and international applicants. He will commence his new position in December 2017.
