The Amazing Race 2018

8 March 2018

In collaboration with the Schools of Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Earth and Environment Sciences, and Mechanical and Mining Engineering, the Sustainable Minerals Institute held the Amazing Race 2018.

The event was designed to connect HDR students from across UQ who work within the resources sector, enabling them to meet one another and learn about related projects that other Schools/Institutes are involved in.

Teams raced to complete individual checkpoint challenges organized by participating Schools/Institutes. The race included multiple checkpoints designed to teach participants about the projects being carried out across UQ and challenge teams to work together to solve fun puzzles

Upon completion of the race, all participants were invited to attend a networking function to be held at the SMI-Indooroopilly Experimental Mine Site to visit these world-class facilities, and to have food, drinks, and opportunities to network with other students and industry representatives.

Congratulations to the winners group 4!
