25 June 2018

CSRM Senior Research Fellow, Kathryn Sturman, provided input and support to Margaret Wachenfeld, Senior Research Fellow of the Institute for Human Rights and Business (IHRB) for a new report titled Extracting Good Practices: A Guide for Governments and Partners to Integrate Environment and Human Rights into the Governance of the Mining Sector. The Guide was published jointly by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The purpose of the Guide is to enable governments and other stakeholders to better manage the environmental and human rights impacts of mining, in a way that promotes just and sustainable outcomes for local communities and inclusive governance of the mining sector.
