What you will learn
The Masterclass focuses on advancing your understanding and application of critical control management to prevent fatalities. Across two full days, you'll hear from leading experts and take part in interactive discussions that explore real-world applications and innovations in the field. The Masterclass is facilitated by Professor Maureen Hassall, Director of the Minerals Industry Safety and Health Centre (MISHC) at UQ’s Sustainable Minerals Institute.

2025/2026 Masterclass Series
The Masterclass runs as two full-day workshops featuring presentations and discussions. During the workshops, you will hear from leading experts on current practices and latest research outcomes associated with critical controls.
The Masterclass is facilitated by Professor Maureen Hassall, Director of the Minerals Industry Safety and Health Centre (MISHC), within UQ's Sustainable Minerals Institute.
- CPD - up to 14 hours, a UQ certificate of attendance can be provided on request.
