Dynamic Generic Mill Model
This project focuses on developing a dynamic AG/SAG and ball mill model for model-informed Process Control.
The purpose of the project is to enhance live control-room based systems that assist operators and engineers to optimise circuit performance. Key capabilities:
- Predict mill charge composition in real time (% filling, % slurry)
- Detect onset of slurry pooling
- Model responds to liner wear over liner life
- Predict impact-toe position independently of acoustic measurements
- Predict grind size and grind efficiency using dynamic a population-balance grinding model
- Alert operators to atypical process conditions
