Sarah Knoll Master of Community Relations Graduate (2013)

Sarah is a Senior Advisor in Corporate Affairs for BHP Billiton Copper. Before her time in the Copper business, Sarah has also worked in the Manganese and Coal businesses in Africa and Australia. Sarah's Masters thesis investigated frameworks of collaboration between the development sector (NGOs) and resource companies in attaining community development outcomes.

Sarah says that the Masters of Community Relations degree has given her excellent exposure to best practice approaches to corporate responsibility and connected her to brilliant practitioners around the world This knowledge and experience has been valuable in building her skillset in community relations in the resources sector and she believes that this work will only become more important over time, as companies recognize that good corporate citizenship is critical for business sustainability and achieving positive development outcomes in countries of operation.
