A new study by researchers from the University of Geneva and The University of Queensland’s Sustainable Minerals Institute has found that a step-change in mineral processing could drastically reduce mineral waste and avoid a sand sustainability crisis.
Over the last 20 years, recognition of Indigenous peoples’ right to control, co-manage and benefit from resource development on their lands has increased, and one model of co-management currently attracting attention is Indigenous equity ownership of mining projects.
The Novel reagent technologies for arsenic minerals project forms part of the UQ – Newcrest strategic partnership. This project is undertaken by the JKMRC Flotation Chemistry Group.
