CSRM is one of 4 partners awarded funding under the Australian Research Council’s (ARC) Linkage scheme.

This $300,000 project runs for 3 years and brings together experts from the Australian National University (ANU), Newmont, RESOLVE and CSRM.

The project has arisen due to the increase over the past decade in the number of companies commissioning independent inquiries, as a means of responding to major issues and community grievances.

The project investigates the utility of these inquiries for different stakeholder groups and draws on lessons learned in conventional government led commissions of inquiry.

It will define a set of principles, guidelines and pre-conditions for conducting inquiries that achieve meaningful change.
