Mining-related operations are aiming to lower their carbon footprints. In order to do this, one must first know the current emission profile of the operations.
One of the core focusses within the Energy Transition and Integration (ET&I) program is conducting comprehensive carbon footprint assessments for the mining industry. Leveraging the expertise within the group, greenhouse gas emissions throughout the mining lifecycle can be meticulously quantified and analysed for scope 1, scope 2 and scope 3 emissions.
By integrating state-of-the-art legislative methodologies with foundational engineering principles, accurate emission assessments can be provided. This can assist the mining industry identify emission hotspots, benchmark performance, and strategize emissions reduction initiatives.
The ET&I program’s commitment towards sustainability empowers mining operations to make informed decisions, reduce their environmental impact, and contribute to a greener future.
