Resourcing Decarbonisation Showcase
Registration:
26 November 2024–10 February 2025
The Resourcing Decarbonisation Program is addressing materials supply and associated challenges on the path to net zero.
An exponential scale-up in the discovery and production of metals and industrial aggregates is required to achieve the energy transition. As such, the resources sector will play a central role but there are equally significant challenges in timelines, community concerns, regulation and policy, business readiness and environmental impacts.
In this half-day showcase we present on the risks and innovations entailed by this global shift, as part of The University of Queensland's Resourcing Decarbonisation Program.
Over 20 projects have been funded through the Resourcing Decarbonisation Program, and are in various stages of progression. This showcase is an opportunity to learn more about these projects, and to see where the future might be going in this space.
The event will feature keynotes and rapid-fire presentations on Australia’s role in critical metal supply, improved processing technologies, community vulnerability, circularity, the economics of waste repurposing and much more.
