Mining industry professionals from around the world will now have access to a range of online professional development courses developed and delivered by subject matter experts at The University of Queensland’s Sustainable Minerals Institute (SMI).

Melissa started as the Sustainable Minerals Institute's (SMI) Deputy Director of Operations (DDO) in January 2016, following a six year stint as Operations Manager at the Queensland Alliance for Agriculture and Food Innovation. As DDO, Melissa has been central to the successful management of the Institute's operations, including finance and human resource management, information technology systems and support, facilities and workplace health and safety, research portfolio support, marketing and communications, and intellectual property management.
